We are looking for a Land Specialist to Join our Team


Job Title:



New Homes & Land Specialist


Reports To (Job Title):



Managing Director





Office in Gateshead, role across the NE

  1. Job Purpose:


To generate new homes instructions from developers who are either on the market already with another agent or have sites pending instruction. 


To generate additional income for the department through the targeting of land owners who either have a planning consent or are trying to secure planning with an expectation of either securing instructions to sell the units or dispose of the land on their behalf.


To work with negotiators to achieve sales of new homes and sites once instructions are received.


To develop and maintain relationships with developers, builders, land owners and professionals which will result in instructions or referrals for instructions.



  1. Dimensions:


Internal working relationships with:-


  • Land department, Managing Director, Sales Manager, FS Manager, Residential and Lettings Managers/Valuers/Negotiators where appropriate


External working relationships with:-


  • Business contacts within land owners and developers including one off builders through to national PLC house builders, architects and other development professionals.



  1. Principle Accountabilities:


  • To generate new instructions for the business both in terms of new homes and related services within the group including Lettings and Residential.


  • To generate fee income from new business won including land fees and house sales.


  • To maintain an accurate and up to date tout and filing system with all current and pending development sites listed.


  • To ensure that exceptional client service standards are delivered both in verbal and written communications



  1. Job Challenges:



  • To generate relationships with new clients for the purpose of winning the business and maintaining the instruction.


  • To maintain tenacity needed to tout for new instructions.


  • To maintain accurate records and administration.




  1. Additional Information:


  • Whilst the role is primarily focused on winning new business it is expected that due to the employee having sales experience that they will offer a positive input into the day to day running of the department.
